Shimen is a graduate of the Academy of Art University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, majoring in Merchandising & Marketing, and minoring in Journalism. After earning her degree and fulfilling roles as a marketing executive at a few local businesses, Shimen joined California Home Builders' sister company, California Homes & Kitchen Design Center in 2012 and took the role of marketing, strategic planning, brand development and growth as a marketing executive. As she became fully conversant with all knowledge areas, project phases and processes, she took on the role of project manager for all new home and renovation projects.
